We’ve got big news. Six new storeys to be exact. An exciting new mixed-use building is coming to East Village in the lot immediately west of the adjacent historic Simmons building.
Let us introduce you to EV606 - the newest riverfront property for Calgarians to call home. This six-storey building will offer 44 residential rental units across its upper five storeys and 9,300 sq ft of street-level retail space to this lively section of East Village riverfront. EV606 was dreamed up by Winnipeg-based Alston Properties—a company known for its creative and unique urban developments, most notably in Winnipeg’s historic Exchange District.

This lot is one of downtown’s last remaining riverfront parcels and now, more than halfway through the East Village revitalization project, aspiring residents will have yet another option to make their home here. East Village is where the city was born, and this unique new building demonstrates that it’s also where Calgary’s future continues to unfold. Alston expects to break ground in summer 2022 and to be ready for new residents in 2024.
