Construction & Road Closures
4th Avenue Flyover
The City of Calgary is advancing their work on the 4th Avenue Flyover Rehabilitation project, requiring intermittent lane closures of the bridge which began in April 2024. The bridge is anticipated to be completed by Fall 2025.
Ongoing: One lane on the flyover will be closed at all times (24/7) and traffic will be reduced to a single lane.

Lane Closure: Eastbound Memorial Drive
Phase Two of the Inglewood Sanitary Trunk (IST) project is underway, with completion expected by July 2025.
To advance construction, work on Memorial Drive will begin in mid-February and is expected to take approximately six months. During this time, the right-hand lane of eastbound Memorial Drive (between Bridgeland C-Train Station and Baines Bridge/Zoo Bridge) will be closed daily from 7 AM to 7 PM.

BOW RIVER PATHWAY CLOSURE
From January 2024 to July 2025, the Bow River pathway in Bridgeland between St. Patrick’s Island and Baines Bridge will be closed to facilitate work on the Inglewood sanitary trunk project. Detours, and accompanying signage are in place. Find a map of the pathway closure and detours here.
