In East Village, our streets are as well-connected as our people and ensuring that the spaces, faces and places are as safe as they are welcoming is a top priority.
The East Village Safety Hub is a centralized shared space enabling police and social supports to do just that. Located in the basement of the St. Louis Hotel, the East Village Safety Hub is a partnership between Calgary Municipal Land Corporation (CMLC), The City of Calgary, Calgary Police Service and the Alpha House Society’s Downtown Outreach Addictions Partnership (DOAP). The hub model, a best practice in neighbourhood safety, allows multi-agency teams to collaborate and share information about community concerns or incidents and coordinate to deliver the most appropriate response to real and perceived social issues.
This space also features a maintenance station for police bikes and a place for canine unit supports to rest between shifts.
the east village safety hub is not a public reporting station
If you wish to access police non-emergency services, the closest reporting station is the District 1 Ramsay station at 1010, 26th Avenue SE or call the non-emergency line at 403-266-1234.
