In July 2020, the East Village Experience Centre (EVEC) officially began a new chapter as a dynamic and unique workspace for one of Calgary’s fastest growing tech companies, Harvest Venture Builders.
After more than eight years serving as the community storytelling hub and a sales centre for multiple East Village mixed-use residential projects, just like the neighbourhood, it has grown up. The masterplan vision for a new kind of downtown living - laid out at EVEC in models, film and activities - has literally come to life. The East Village experience is being lived every day by the residents of more than 1,400 condos and apartments, visitors to EV’s restaurants and retail and amenities like St. Patrick’s Island and the Central Library, and now Harvest’s 90 new employees.
EVEC has always been an evolving space, adapting and responding to the current needs of the community. Partnering with Harvest, one of several innovation spaces setting up in East Village, is a fitting next step in its story.
We’re Still around…
