Tasty and Sporty Spots Open in EV

We’re excited to welcome our newest neighbours to East Village! Despite COVID-19’s impact on daily life over the last months, East Village shops and services continue to innovate and navigate their new normal. And now, three more local entrepreneurs have entered the fold, with doors open at two new restaurants and a bike shop.

A little taste of France has come to the neighbourhood, with Soleil Bistro and Bar now open in the base of Verve condo. The 1,875 square foot restaurant features a French-inspired, chef-driven menu with a focus on local ingredients, quality meats and fresh produce. Whether you’re looking for breakfast, lunch, dinner or drinks, Soleil has you covered. The best way to enjoy your meal? Snag a spot on their sidewalk patio to dine ‘en plein air’!

We are “wheely” excited to welcome Bow Cycle E-Bikes to East Village! This second Bow Cycle shop is located in the M2 building along RiverWalk, and we can’t think of a more fitting addition for the riverside pathway! Bow Cycle E-Bikes rents out both e-bikes and regular bikes, and also has plenty of cycling gear on hand for when you need to pick up a pump or new helmet. And if you love taking an e-bike for a spin and realize you need one in your life pronto, they have them available for purchase, too!

Freshly opened at 5th & THIRD is Fresh Slice Pizza, the second retailer to open their doors at the brand new shopping centre. This shop serves up ‘za by the slice or the whole pie, and we love how easy it is to order online for pickup or delivery! Keep your eyes open at 5th & THIRD during the coming months for Winners, Scotiabank, Olympia Liquor and TD Bank, which are all scheduled to open before the end of the year.
