Pitch Night at Central Library
No dragons or sharks – YOU get to be the judge at this Calgary Foundation event where up to $50,000 in grants will be given out . Watch groups pitch their ideas for improving their neighbourhoods and communities and decide which ones will share in the Neighbour Grants awarded at the end of the night.

Logan and host Richard Brown will discuss the ways in which we can all become city builders and environmental advocates through engaging with ink.

Date Night Cooking Workshop with The Spice Chica

Brew Ed at The Brewer’s Apprentice
This 4-week course is presented by The Brewer's Apprentice and instructed by Alberta Beer Festival's head judge, David Nuttall. Each class will cover a different topic, such as the histories of different beer styles, what makes a good brew, how beer is made and its many ingredients.
Approximately a dozen beers will be sampled each class, so you’ll see and taste the difference between each one. The final class will be a “field trip” to one of Calgary’s breweries, where you can watch the process first-hand.
